Get Ready for a Fun Year

First Red Hills Event for 2013 at Glen Arven Jan. 19

We are excited and ready for a new Red Hills season, beginning Saturday, Jan. 19 at Glen Arven CC in Thomasville, GA. Last year saw a lot of growth in the number of players, and some excellent improvement in scores throughout the year. Many of our current and former players went on to have stellar performances in high school competitions and in other upper level tours. That's what we're all about!

There will be a few changes this year as we work to improve the experience for all players and families.

TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP: The main change for 2013: the Tour Championship will be the Sept. 28 event at Dothan CC. We implemented this change to better manage the October end-of-year banquet and awards which, as many of you might recall, was too long and had too many moving parts. We promise to improve that this year.

The tour registration is still $75 per year per player ($50 mid-season after June 10, 2013) and events are priced $48 (9-hole player) and $68 (18-hole player).

PAYING BY CHECK: If you select "Pay By Check" and then are a No Show, we may, at our discretion, elect to block further participation as the No Shows create a problem for groupings and other organizational tasks.

Several events sold out last year so please be sure to register as early as possible.

RULES QUIZ: Earn a quick 500 points by taking a USGA Rules Quiz now ...

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be made after registration closes for a specific event, but the registration may be applied towards a future event if the director is contacted at least 48 hours in advance of the event. No refunds or credits will be made for No Shows or Withdrawals unless a player is physically unable to participate.

Surf & Turf Classic Feb. 10 with Emerald Coast

This joint event with the Emerald Coast Junior Tour is scheduled for Sunday Feb. 10, 2013 at Camp Creek.  You will register for that event just as you would any other RHJT event but please note this event is being managed by the ECJT tour and, by agreement, will follow their rules and practices. We will, of course, be on hand to help out. Since the ECJT has different age divisions, we will re-rank players separately for the purpose of assigning points for Red Hills players.

We like this joint event as it expands the field and introduces our players to more competition.

We will post those Rules and Policy changes before the event, along with yardages, practice round fees and hotel info, etc.
