WHAT'S NEW FOR 2017

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2017

NEW COURSES

PINK LINKS: A BETTER WAY FOR GIRLS TO LEARN TO COMPETE

Starting in 2017, Red Hills Junior Golf will host parallel events: one for Boys (RHJT) and another for Girls (Pink Links).  There will be an independent website devoted to junior golf for girls and Pink Links will apply a different strategy towards helping girls develop competitively.

Through Pink Links -- and the support of the LPGA -- girls will play yardages and competitions based on ability, not by age.  As girls develop proficiency and lower scores, they move back in yardage and move up in the number of holes they play.

COURSE INFORMATION

Join us for our 2-day kickoff event at the prestigious Glen Arven Country Club. Founded in 1892, Glen Arven is one of the oldest clubs in America.  Its 120-year history is rich and fascinating:  Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson and many other golf legends walked its fairways during the late 1930s when Glen Arven was a stop on the fledgling PGA tour.

The club has hosted many important golf championships over the years including a Georgia Men’s Amateur.  It was on the 18th hole of Glen Arven in 1956 that then president Dwight D. Eisenhower deemed himself fit enough to run for another term as President of the United States.

Glen Arven (Thomasville, GA) was renovated in 2015 by course designer Robert Cupp, adding length, new greens and other challenging features. The course is in great shape for a two-day test of golf.
